Myth: "NK Cell therapy is just a weaker, cheaper, and unapproved version of CAR-T."
Reality: NK cells occupy a completely different strategic niche in oncology. While CAR-T is the "heavy artillery" for relapsed blood cancers (requiring toxic conditioning chemo and carrying high CRS/neurotoxicity risks), NK is the rapid-response, low-toxicity, off-the-shelf tool. NK cells are collected either from the patient (autologous, via leukapheresis) or from healthy donors (allogeneic, from blood or umbilical cord blood).
